Totten Trail Inn - Fort Totten ND Real Haunted Places

  • 4 Historic Square
  • Fort Totten, ND
  • (701) 766-4874
This inn is one of the several historic buildings located on the grounds of Fort Totten State Historic Site. The fort dates back to the 1860s-1870s and the building that now houses the inn once served as housing for officers and their families. Rumor has it that before any modern renovations were done, a couple died in the house. This could contribute to the ghost stories that surround the inn. There have been several reports made by both visitors and staff of the inn, including shadow figures that can be spotted in your peripheral vision, objects that move on their own, doors opening and closing by themselves, and full body apparitions. One thing is for sure, if you decide to stay the night, just prepare yourself for ghostly visitors!
